It’s an excellent option for convention center transportation as well! There are 9 trains running on the Monorail, each with a capacity of 222 people. That’s pretty efficient travel!

How to buy Las Vegas Monorail tickets

1. Online Mobile Tickets

There are several ways to buy Las Vegas Monorail tickets. You can purchase your tram tickets online, called mobile tickets, which is the easiest in my opinion. 

They’re convenient and cheaper than regular Vegas Monorail paper tickets. Purchase your discounted tram tickets online and an e-ticket (mobile ticket) will be sent to your email address.

2. Paper tickets purchased at the Monorail customer service booth

You can also purchase your Monorail tickets at a Las Vegas Monorail customer service booth. These customer service offices are generally open set hours, but sometimes the hours can vary.

3. Paper tickets purchased from the ticket vending machines (TVMs)

There are always the ticket vending machines that are available at most of the Las Vegas Monorail Stations (but not all).

If you happen to be at a station where there isn’t a TVM, you can always purchase a mobile ticket online.

You’ll want to note that there is a daily maximum purchase allowed at the TVMs. 

For group ticket purchases (parties of 20+), you can select the group link under ticket sales for a discounted rate.

Train Stations on Las Vegas Monorail (Monorail Hotels)

There are 7 stations on the Las Vegas Monorail:

1. SAHARA Las Vegas Station - the closest station to Las Vegas Boulevard. You may want to order an Uber or call a cab to connect you to the Boulevard. (It may be too far to walk.)

2. Westgate Station - The station is conveniently located right outside the hotel entrance, and to the right. We often stay at the Westgate, and I think this is part of the reason why. It’s just so convenient.

3. Boingo Station at Las Vegas Convention Center - The Las Vegas Convention Center is one of the largest and busiest facilities in the world. Monorail trains arrive every 4 - 5 minutes during busy conventions. There’s a maximum of 10 minutes travel time to the convention center, from anywhere on the line.

4. Harrah’s / The LINQ Station - The best station to access the Linq Promenade for shopping, dining and entertainment. Also the station for the High Roller, a 550 ft. tall ferris wheel. Be sure to show your Monorail ticket for a discount on the High Roller!

5. Flamingo / Caesars Palace Station - There’s so much to see and do at the Flamingo. And with Caesars Palace directly across the street, it’s a very convenient station. This is the one we use when we go for dinner at Hell’s Kitchen.

6. Horseshoe / Paris Station - Paris is a Vegas Strip icon, offering luxurious accommodations and upscale dining. Enjoy excellent menus tailored by Martha Stewart and Gordon Ramsay.

7. MGM Grand Station - The MGM Station is the southernmost stop of the Monorail. Get easy access to the MGM Grand complex of resorts and restaurants.
